Having fun

So in the morning when you've gotten up and found out that Bubba had an accident in the night and you start running the bath to get him smelling fresh and then Sister sees you running the bath and wants to get in too and upon getting in requests that Mercy takes a bath too and you did not have it in the schedule for this timely event to be the way to start off your Monday morning you just have to be able to have some fun. Right?! ;)

Life

So I started to post a longer post on Valentine's Day but when I realized I didn't have enough time I just did a quickie (that is a word isn't it?). ;) But then when I went back to finish and publish it the blog put it back when I started writing it! ( See "Is it still winter or is it spring?" posted before "Happy Valentine's Day!") Oh well, I'm still trying to figure this out. ;)

Happy Valentine's Day!

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." John 3:16-17

Is it still winter or is it spring?

Ah, Florida weather. Every day is different, we've seen high 30's to mid 70's all in the same week! The flowers in my front flower bed don't know whether it is time to bloom or not. :)

My little miniature rose bush ~

I just love my gerber daisies! This one is normally a pastel pink with lime green highlights but being it's first flower this season I guess it doesn't know what color to be. ;)

We have 2 holly trees on our property that I really do like, they are just so beautiful when they are loaded with red berries. My pear tree is normally in full bloom with delicate white flowers by now but it is being stubborn. I went and looked closely at it today and saw that there are buds on it so I can hardly wait!

No, I'm not doing what you may think I am. ;) I'm just trying to get my fingers in my mouth and ended up being super cute. :)

Goin' bowlin'

So completely out of the blue and spur of the moment we decided to go bowling last week. I can't really even remember how we got the idea but Charles and I both calculated that it had been at least 13 years since either of us had been bowling! We actually went to an alley in St. Augustine, when we got there there was only one other lane being used so we really had the whole place to ourselves...nice!
They gave the children a light ball, they were thrilled that it was orange. :)

Daddy helping Caleb.

Charis was going bananas over the machine spitting out the ball over and over, I thought it may be another "blond" moment...

but Caleb thought it was neat also, but then again, he's blond too. ;)

Daddy helping his little girl.

Caleb tried it by himself.

He had a lot of fun but it did take the ball at least 30 seconds or more to reach the pins!

I was there too. :) We were so glad they put the bumpers up for the children, we needed it just as much as Caleb & Charis! It would have been a boring game without them (i.e. a lot of gutter balls). ;)
I didn't realize I was this zoomed but Charis is having a fun time with the air vent...

simple things for simple minds. :)

Gotta love those highly fashionable bowling shoes.

Growing up too fast

Mercy is growing up way too fast. She has outgrown the bassinet so reluctantly (on my part) as we cleaned yesterday we cleared out the bottom of the pack-n-play for her to sleep.

As soon as it was set up some munckins discovered it...

mischievous monkeys. :) No, Mercy is not in there with them!

But here she is, the rightful occupier of the bed. :) She is now a traveller, she has room now so she is scooting all around during the night.

My daughter is blond

Charis is a sweetheart but sometimes she can be so blond. :)
Her daddy has been enjoying asking her this question over the past couple of days,
"Charis, do you have a brain?" The normal quick and cute response from her fluffy little head is, "No!" But yesterday after she did her normal, hasty reply she added, "Oh! I do, I do!" ;)

I hired my sisters the past 2 days to come over and help me deep clean and organize the house after the holidays, parties and wedding, etc. They helped me eradicate "piles" which I have a terrible habit of creating. After they had gone I was putting away a few more things and Charis brought in this purple sweater and asked if it was hers. I told her that it was Mercy's. She was like, okay, and walked out of the room. In about 30 seconds she returned with it on (I was amazed she could do it) asking for help in getting it off. Below is the proper fit for this little sweater. :)

The blanket and sweater were lovingly made by Sarah & Rebekah Logan.

Four Months Old

Well, Mercy turned 4 months old so earlier this week I tried taking a few pictures. I had no clue what I was doing but I had fun. Mercy's attention span didn't last too long though. :)

I figured I had better put some clothes on her although chubby rolls are awful cute. :)

I have always loved "feet" pictures so after E's one month pictures I thought I'd give it a shot. Mercy didn't want to hold her feet still at all, she kept kicking like she was in karate or something. S, the 3 sets of feet are soooo sweet and very impressive!

I can't figure why I held the camera at such a bad angle but her face was precious. ;)
